PROGRAM SUMMARY

Each of the programs at Teddy Bear Learning Center (except Infant Care) is available in four different time segments based on individual family needs. 

  • Full-day = 9:00am to 3:00pm 

  • Half-day = either 9:00am to 11:30am or 12:30pm to 3:00pm 

  • Extended-care = Full-day with extended hours 

  • Five-hour care = a five-hour segment of the full day program based on individual needs 

Infant (Full-day, Five-hour, or Extended-care) - The Teddy Bear Learning Center infant program encourages infants to explore the world around them.  Infant's unique patterns for feeding, sleeping, and social interaction will continue throughout the day on an individual schedule. 

Toddler I - The Teddy Bear Learning Center Toddler I program encourages young toddlers to explore the world around them.  Through this monthly curriculum, toddlers build vocabulary, small and large motor skills, creative expression, socialization, and much more. 

Toddler II - The Teddy Bear Learning Center Toddler II program is a hands-on monthly program designed for energetic two year olds.  With this curriculum, two year olds develop beginning readiness skills through active exploration. 

Preschool - The Teddy Bear Learning Center Preschool program provides three year olds a strong foundation upon which to construct a world of knowledge.  Through hands-on exploration, the curious preschool child experiences basic skills and concepts while having fun. 

Pre-K - The Teddy Bear Learning Center Pre-K program builds a strong foundation for school readiness.  Through active exploration, the inquisitive Pre-K child experiences a progressive scope of academic opportunities. 

Kindergarten Enrichment - The Teddy Bear Learning Center Kindergarten Enrichment program is designed to supplement half-day Kindergarten programs at local public schools.

  • Appropriate outdoor wear.  (When the weather permits, infants will be brought outside to enjoy the fresh air.)  

  • Crib sheets, bumpers, blankets  (If you would like your child’s crib more familiar or if the child has special toys, mobiles, etc., you may equip your child’s crib.)

Toddler I

  • Together time – music, movement, discussions  

  • Table activities  

  • Outside activities

  • Story / reading time  

  • Diapering / toileting  

  • Morning snack

Daily Schedule (Full-day)

  • Same as Half-day +

  • Lunch

  • Diapering / toileting

  • Rest nap

  • Diapering / toileting

  • Afternoon snack

  • Age-appropriate activities (puzzles, manipulatives, reading, music, movement)

  • Outside activities - individual and group activities

  • Small group and individual selections

    • For toileting, please be certain that clothing can be removed easily by the child to develop independence.  Avoid articles of clothing that your child cannot fasten without assistance. (Elastic waist pants are suggested.)

    • Changing products (wipes, powders, creams, etc.)

    • Appropriate outdoor wear (hats, gloves, snow pants, boots)

  • Full-Day (in addition to Half-Day)

    • Lunch in a labeled lunch box or bag

    • Blanket for naptime (no large blankets or pillows that will not fit in child’s cubby)
